Prof. Dr. med. Philip Schöttle studied human medicine in Munich and from 1999 became a specialist at the Rechts der Isar Clinic of the Technical University of Munich and the Hôpital Ambroise-Paré of the Université de Paris V, the Balgrist Orthopedic University Clinic in Zurich and the Center for Musculoskeletal Surgery at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin Orthopedics trained.
From 2005 to 2006 he conducted research at the Julius Wolff Institute for Surgery at the Charité Berlin on the cause and elimination of patella instability, which he wrote his professorship on in 2006.
Subsequently, he was a senior doctor and head of the knee surgery section at the Klinikum rechts der Isar of the Technical University of Munich, followed by the position of director of the joint center in Zurich.
